First: what do you actually have?

Dexcom G6 is a three-part system, and the parts are quoted separately. Before you request an offer, sort what you have into these groups — it is the single biggest thing that speeds up a quote:

• G6 sensors — sold in sealed three-packs. This is the item people have the most of, and the one with the steadiest demand.
• G6 transmitters — one per box, and the part that separates G6 from G7. Because the G7 sensor has the transmitter built in, G6 transmitters only have value to people still running G6 hardware.
• G6 receivers — the handheld display. Many people never used theirs because they read their glucose on a phone, so unopened receivers turn up often.

What are Dexcom G6 supplies worth?

Offers on G6 depend on four things: which part it is, how much unexpired dating is left, whether the box is retail or insurance/DME labeled, and current demand for that item. Sensors and transmitters are priced separately, never as a bundle.

Dating matters more on G6 than it does on newer products. Because most new prescriptions now go out as G7, G6 demand comes from people who are still on G6 hardware — a real but shrinking pool. Boxes with long dating still move well; boxes with a few months left are much harder to place. If you are sitting on G6, sooner is better than later.

1. Take inventory. Count boxes by type — sensors, transmitters, receivers — and note the expiration date on each. Photograph the front and back of one box of each type.
2. Text us the details. Send the photos with counts and expiration dates. Photos of the actual boxes get you a firm number instead of a range.
