The Dexcom G7 is one of the most in-demand items in the diabetic supply resale market right now. A single retail box of G7 sensors retails for $100–$150 without insurance, which means sealed, unexpired G7 boxes hold real cash value for buyers who can't get them covered. If you have G7 sensors you can no longer use — whether you switched systems, changed insurance plans, or received more than you needed — here's exactly how to sell them for the best price.
First: Dexcom G7 vs G7 15-Day — which do you have?
Dexcom released the G7 15-Day sensor in late 2025, and many sellers now have a mix of both versions without realizing it. This matters because they have different values. Here's how to tell them apart:
- G7 (10-Day) — The box says "G7" with no "15 Day" mentioned in the logo. 10-day wear time. 30-minute warm-up. Approved for ages 2+.
- G7 15-Day — The box explicitly says "G7 15 Day" in the product logo. 15-day wear time. 60-minute warm-up. Currently approved for adults 18+ only.
The G7 15-Day commands higher prices in the resale market because it's Dexcom's current flagship product and uses fewer sensors per month (2 vs 3). The original 10-Day G7 is being gradually phased out, which is reducing its resale value. Check your boxes carefully before submitting a quote.
What does a box of Dexcom G7 sensors sell for?
Resale prices vary by product version, expiration date, and buyer. Based on current market rates across major national buyers, here are approximate ranges:
- G7 15-Day sensors (retail NDC, mint condition, 12+ months to expiry): $55–$80 per box
- G7 15-Day sensors (retail NDC, 6–12 months to expiry): $35–$55 per box
- G7 10-Day sensors (retail NDC, mint condition, 12+ months to expiry): $40–$70 per box
- G7 10-Day sensors (retail NDC, 6–12 months to expiry): $20–$45 per box
- G7 DME/insurance-labeled boxes: $10–$30 per box depending on buyer
Supplies with longer expiration dates always command higher prices. If your sensors expire in less than 3 months, most buyers will not purchase them. The sweet spot for maximum payout is 12+ months remaining.

To sell Dexcom G7 sensors to any reputable buyer, your supplies must meet the following conditions:
- Factory sealed and unopened — The original packaging must be intact. No opened boxes, no missing sensors.
- At least 3 months before expiration — Most buyers require 3 months minimum; some require 6. The closer to expiration, the lower the offer.
- Undamaged packaging — No dents, tears, water damage, stickers, or writing on the box. Minor creases may be accepted at a reduced price by some buyers.
- US-labeled product — US retail or DME-labeled boxes only. No internationally sourced or CE-marked supplies.
- Not Medicare or Medicaid labeled — Federal law prohibits resale of government-program supplies. Boxes labeled "For Medicare Beneficiaries" or similar cannot be purchased.
Why do people have extra Dexcom G7 sensors?
The most common reasons sellers contact us with G7 sensors:
- Upgrading from G7 10-Day to G7 15-Day — Many patients switched as soon as the 15-Day sensor became available, leaving unopened 10-Day boxes behind.
- Switching to a different CGM brand — Moving to FreeStyle Libre 3 or a different system leaves G7 sensors that can no longer be used.
- Insurance formulary change — A new insurance plan may require a different CGM brand, leaving behind a supply of G7 sensors that were shipped pre-change.
- 90-day auto-shipment overstock — Insurance plans often ship 90-day supplies. If you change plans mid-cycle, you may have months of sensors you can't use.
- Estate situations — A family member with diabetes has passed away or moved to a care facility, leaving behind their supply.
